The only 990 i can afford is GIGABYTE 990XA-UD3, but i read some bad reviews about it... So should i go for a 970 or GIGABYTE 990XA-UD3 ???

ud3. But its not fx990. There's bad reviews about everything. My wife even wrote a bad review about me! Can you believe it?

The best 970's are Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3, Asus M5A97 EVO/PRO

The 990fx have better vrm's - better voltage control and heatsinks.

ASRock 990FX Extreme3 sounds good, can it support new fx cpus like 9370?? Also i hope it will support a minor oc...

haha, that is quite funny.

If you are going to invest in an 8-core already overclocked CPU, you are always best with a 990 or 990FX board. the Gigabyte 990XA-UD3, you listed is a far better choice over the 970 based board.

Does 970 chipset motherboards support amd am3+ 9370 and 9590 cpus ??? No, none do.

The ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional and 990FX Extreme9 support AMD FX-9370 and FX-9590 220W Desktop Processor. ASRock 990FX Extreme3 has no support for those 220 watt TDP CPUs.

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 (latest rev 4) not 990XA-UD3 support those 220 watt TDP CPUs.

You should always refer to the motherboard manufacturers CPU Support List for compatible CPUs. The required BIOS version will also be listed.

Idk if you are still thinking of this but you MUST get a good 990FX board for those cpus. They pull like 220 watts. That will melt a 970 mobo pretty bad. You can't go cheap on your mobo with a cpu like those two you mentioned.
