Hey I've been having problems recently with a strange noise that's annoying, sometimes I can hear the noise when my doors shut and I'm in the next room, so you can tell how loud it is.

I have been checking the motherboard of where the sound could be coming from and it's either the CPU, the CPU fan or something near it. I have asked my dad to look at it and he says it's just the fan when one day I did a crazy experiment with it of disconnecting the fan for a few seconds and the sound was still thee. I have done research on this but the comments that people leave give no solutions.

The CPU that I have is the Amd Fx 8core 4.0GHz Black Edition, the fan is the stock that comes with the CPU and the Motherboard is a 990XA-UD3 Ultra Durable from GiGaByte, finally the PSU is just a 600w Alpine.

If there is any other information that is needed to help please ask and I'll post it.

Thanks

He is mainly talking about the graphics card situation but my Graphics Card doesn't require a 6pin sadly because I had two 6pin connectors reeady it is a MSI GTX 750Ti OC Edition so yeah.

However the noise is somewhat like he is demonstrating but louder and its in a case.

Some useful extra information is that when it's running a game such as Watch Dogs the sound goes away while when running just the Desktop or doing something that is't resource intensive across the system it continues to make that sound.

Coil whine doesnt just happen with Graphics cards, it can happen on motherboards also. The fact your graphics card doesnt have a 6 PIN is irrelevant.
