I'm looking to slightly overclock my ram from 1600 to 1866, there's probably a high chance it won't make much of a difference but hey if it's simple enough, right?
Mobo:
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
CPU:
Stock 8350
and 4 sticks of 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9).
Would this be an entirely difficult task? and/or degrade the lifespan of the sticks or create some other kind of stability issue? I don't particularly want to increase the voltages to do so.
The way I would probably go about doing it is setting it to 1866 and using the same timings as the 1866 kit of this particular ram, but then this is pretty much the first time I've ever overclocked something.
Help greatly appreciated.
