Fx-6300 vs i5-4670k

I just wanna know if the amd-6300 is better than i5-4670k because i5 is better but amd has 2 additional cores and a faster clock soeed so how can the i5 be better without ocing iy

There's a lot more at play here than just number of cores and clock speed. IPC (instructions per cycle) describes how much the processor can actually do in a clock cycle. The i5-4670K's IPC is so much higher that you can actually compare a stock i5 to an overclocked FX-6300 and it will usually still be ahead.

Its not really a fair comparison, though, as they're about $100 apart. The FX-6300 should be compared to i3's instead, though the story is often similar there.
