Well i have arranged money for ps4 but i was thinking that ps4 doesnt supports backwards compatiblity like ps3/2 games.
so pc can play both games.help me to choose what.budget would be 500$.
Pc specs:-
Intel core i3 4130
Geforce GTX 650 ti
4gb ram
dont know about other things
anyway tell me will this be enough to play next gen games on 1280x1024 thats my final resolution.

Solution
yeah just go for good capacity HDD, SSD is just so windows and games would load quicker but on a budget I'd go HDD. I don't know how much it costs there, but here a 1tb HDD is only $60...500gb usually only go for 5-10 dollars cheaper so pretty much everybody would just rather spend 5 more bucks for double the capacity

Got more friends which play with you, that plays on console, get a console.
You invite friends or family members to visit often to play, get a console.
You like sports games, racing games, games that play better with controller, get a console.

If you have more PC gaming friends, get a PC.
Also if most of above is wrong, then get a PC.

I think you would still need better Graphic Card, to play Next Gen games on Ultra at good frames at that resolution.

Never had a console and never will. It's no better than an OEM computer, actually as crappy as OEM computers are I would take one over a console. Atleast it can still sort of be upgraded and even with weaker parts it's still more powerful than a console. PC graphics are better, CPU is better and you can do what you want with it not what Microsoft or Sony tells you, you can do with it.

I have a console - and i would say both.
Arguments - Simple for pc - cheaper games, better collection of games online, more wide spread.
Arguments - PS4/PS3 - I cant excactly for ps4 as i do not have it but i will try: You have party chat fixed in, being able to be more social in games. Pc tends to have raging chats, The games you buy - simply just WORK out of the box. One thing i found frustrating about pc, is when you buy games for certain programs *cough* uplay *cough*, servers has a lot of downtime, games doesnt work or has a lot of bugs. Fixed in the console. everything simply works or doesnt work for everybody.
It is smaller than a simple pc, being able to fit under your tv, in the living room, pretty much anywhere with a flat surface.
It has no upgradability(other than hard drives and ssds) so you will be stuck for a generation with the same performance. Thats a lot of time, and i often experience bad gameplay because of old ps3 hardware.

My opinion on what you should get:
If you already have a pc and are worried about being able to run stuff, get a console.
If you are aware of all the risks of gaming on a pc(not really risks but i hope you understand) and know excactly what you are doing to fix the problems, you should probably get a pc. Has cheap games and full upgradeability.

if you are deep lover of PS4 games, then go for it. but if , you want play both platform games then go for PC. the most important aspect before purhase
1. Cool & quiet
2. need Best cooler for CPU.
3. Graphic card (really most important and games depend on graphic card) and overclocking , cooling and go for Nvidia like msi gtx 760 or above

Consoles have forced FPS. Which means they have to be at always 30 or 60 FPS stable.
What they do is either lower resolution your playing on (which makes image less crisper from closer distance), people usually sit away from TV at longer distances, so no problem there.
and then they either lower the graphical setting by lot.

If you don't care about graphical settings get a PS4, cause PC is about playing on High Graphic settings.
I don't know what game you saw, but that is just a gimmick then, any current game released both on consoles and PC, never run better or even same as a Gaming PC. It always run worse, and therefore most people are crying on the game trailers about it. PC that PC version got less optimized and graphical downgraded to fit a console version.
While console gamers, cry about why the game doesn't look as good as on trailer, which was made on High-End PC.
Also games on consoles always run lower setting on something, usually both resolutions and graphic settings, compared to PC.

I would love to see those benchmarks because it sounds like a load. A pc with an I5 and a high-end graphics card will beat a console, hell even with an I3 and a mid range graphics the PC would still be better. Not to mention I would like to see you get better frame rates at higher than 1080 (2XXX or 4XXX resolution) on a big screen tv. There are so many reasons why a PC is better then consoles.

1) Mouse and keyboard easier to use than controllers.

2) You can play at high/ulra resolutions with all setting maxed and still get good frame rates. The default res on consoles is around 1280x1024 even a low end computer with an I3 and entry level video card can do that so a high end computer can easily beat that.

3) Hardware can be upgraded

4) Unlimited storage

5) Cheaper games even when used

6) Better/ stronger harder.

I'd get the PC.
You can upgrade it in the future, you can do work on it, and games are cheaper.

It's all banal (unoriginal) arguments in regards to comparing the two. It really comes down to software. If you find the games coming out for the PS4 to be worth it then it might justify the buy. But they're really two different products, you can do alot more with the PC, but just because you can doesn't mean you will. Yes the hardware is better, but if the software doesn't excite you then it's all pointless. E3 just happened so tons of new games were announced to the PS4, some of those titles might entice you to buy.

I know i'm being the devils advocate to a degree in this thread, but that PC really isn't going to cut it and upgrading will just cost you more. Yes the experience once you upgrade will arguably be better, you'd still have to spend more. The PS4 has an advantage against a low end system, especially if you just want to game.

A gaming pc will end up paying for itself very quickly due to how cheap the games get on sale and they drop in price quickly too. It just depends. I honestly only use a mouse for FPS games like bf4, on everything else I use a xbox 360 controller. I personally very much enjoy sitting back in my chair and relaxing with the controller.

I was a lifelong console player until the end of 2012 when I built my good pc and it was the best choice I ever made. PC all the way. The consoles are just 720p games with tweaked settings so even a cheap GPU now can play stuff on 720p high/ultra like the r7 250x

Although it's lame as hell sony started charging for the online on ps4....paying for online multiplayer is a joke IMO, at least it's free on PC.

I'd honestly go with the PC and get an xbox controller if you like to use it.

I also can't stand the ghetto and "gangsta" people online that plague the consoles it seems.....urgh and the little kids too screaming in games.

Okay, from reading these responses and some of the typical fan-boy noise, either you're not sure or this is a troll thread. But, here's my answer to your question.

Coming from a person who's been a console only person my entire life, and just recently left laptop pc gaming and moved on to full featured custom built pc (because my PS3 broke). I'd say get both if you have the money. The nerds may say "KM+M is betteh then a stupid controllah, Omgz bettah graphix and modz *foams at the mouth*" <--That right there is false, It's only truly better in MOBAs, FPS (IF there is no controller support) and RPGS like W.o.W. Graphics part I can say is true, BUT to an extent. And the mods are only truly there to extend a game's replay-ability. Everything else is just opinions and vanity. It's like when they were clowning the PS360 about no 1080p last year and the year before, and now the PS4/XB1 can and what is it now? "Weak consoles can't even handle 4K gaming, such trash".

Get a console if don't ever plan on upgrading your hardware, want to play console exclusives, want to have some nice local multiplayer games/split screen without fear that a dev didn't think you needed it, more friends play on consoles, you want system security (meaning if one part fails you could just send it back, get it replaced, and boom your back gaming in no time), and plan on playing games on day one without any hiccups or fear your system wont be able to run it.

Get a PC if none of that applies to you, you have a bit of technical knowledge and you have money to spend.

OR

like I said get both. I for one have a new PS3 and a gaming PC. I don't have a PS4/XB1, and I'm waiting for the prices to fall and the library is larger.

PC beats consoles any day. However to play next gen games, you will need 8GB of RAM and a a better CPU that is either Quad-Core or 8-core not the 2-core Intel Core i3 you mentioned. I would recommend the Intel Core i5-4670k 3.4 GHz Quad-Core which is around £155 but is great for playing next gen games.

On a funny note years ago when I went through two broken 360s, one with a bad disc tray that was brand new, and then a used model that lasted a year and a half till it got the RROD, I thought replacing the thermal paste was the most complex thing EVER haha....now with my knowledge of pc's if I were to get another console and something break, with a little reading on what/how to replace, I'm much more confident in my abilities to fix it.

with the xbox price drop due to them ditching the kinect I wouldn't mind getting one around the time the master chief collection comes out, good memories playing it with friends on system link. I wish they would at least come out with a 1tb model. I don't like how the internal hdd isn't upgradable on the xbox like how it is on the ps4. They claimed you can now use external storage for xbox, but, the read/write speeds aren't going to be as good, and if anything it'll make the experience worse for everybody since you have to wait for everybody to load into a multiplayer match/lobby IIRC

kinda like how people would install halo 3 to a flashdrive but it was actually pretty detrimental to its performance doing that, so lobbies/matches started taking awhile to load sometimes for everybody

not much on either console worth owning right now.....not till at least nov for the xbox getting the master chief collection for me. I guarantee they probably make some special halo edition xbox bundled with the game too :p

A Haswell i3 will be fine. If OP was to get an i5 it would severely eat into the budget, simply not an option.

yeah it should play them on your lower resolution decent, just don't have alot of stuff running in the background, recently others have come here saying their system is lagging when they're running a demanding game and also have other programs/browser open and it used up all the i3s cores to 100% . It's only a dual core with hyperthreading, and honestly your amount of ram is low and gpu isn't that great but it should suffice on 720p, don't expect everything maxed out and 60fps though or to be running alot of programs in the back.

If you were to be, an fx6300 would be better for multitasking

You do still forget - not everything is better just because of "DA POWR"... As i mentioned earlier, things simply work on console, where on a pc it might be crappy console port, wrong OS, software problems and so much more, whereas the ps4/xbox one just works.
Also - if the thing doesnt work on a console, it is probably the hardware being faulty, and should be replaced unless there is a known "software level" problem.
On pc it could really be just everything messing it up.
