Hi

I recently purchased an R9 270X. I installed the GPU and ran into a few errors.
Before installing, I uninstalled the GT 640 drivers and then installed the GPU, it said "No Signal" I then thought that it must be the intel HD drivers, so I uninstalled them and then reinstalled the GPU again, "No Signal". I then thought that it was the Motherboard, so I installed the GT 640 and it showed a display. I noticed how the R9 270X Requires a minimum of 4GB of system memory, I do have four, but it is clocked to 650MHz. I also noticed that with the HDMI cable, it doesn't go in as far as the GT 640s did, so I tried a bit harder and then with a different HDMI cable still no signal.

I was wondering what order I do this in because right now I have the GT 640 installed with all of the drivers installed and I am wanting to do this again the clean way because I messed it up the first few times.
Oh and the fans are spinning normally, the 2x 6 pin power connectors are inserted the right way. Just an order of how I should install the GPU from here.

Any help is appreciated as I just want to get this up and running!

Yep, you should try that. Since the PSU is probably not the problem, either the GPU or the HDMI connector of the GPU is faulty, or then the motherboard is (for some reason) incompatible with the GPU.

Try the VGA cable. If that won't work, try using the GPU with some other PC.

But before that, can I try uninstall the drivers and attempt to install the GPU?
