Would I be able to SLI these?

They are both 770s but since they are different editions I was not sure if you could or not

Edit: Also would 2 770 with 4gb of vram be better for 3 monitor nvidia surround than 1 780ti?

Yes. It's the GPU that matters, not the editions.

Yes, you can SLI them.
Also yes SLI 770 4GB would be better for NV Surround than single 780 TI.

As a rule for future reference, the model number and memory quantity must match up for SLI

I don't think memory has to match up, it would be recommended to be so.
But even if it wouldn't, it would still work, though at the lower capacity one.

having owned an sli rig a few months ago, i can say that if everything isnt the same (except vendor) then SLI either does not work at all, or works extremely poorly
