Hey guys! so im taking a look at my friends computer because he insists their is a trojan on here, after taking a quick look at the task manager I see this csrss.exe. After searching the process the first thing I read was that it was malicious and needs to be removed or ended.. I later found out that this is only the case if you have 2 instances of the csrss.exe running, this was after I deleted it from my registry and deleting the mui file from the system 32 folder, although I didn't end the process in task manager. So is it safe for me to turn off this machine or will it not reboot?

Thanks in advance guys I really appreciate the help.

First try Repair Windows (google how to do that, if you don't know).
If it doesn't work (it should do) then do Re-Install (not necessary complete, but Refresh first).
If that doesn't work do a Re-Install.

Get free anti-virus like Panopticon mention.
I recommend AVG Free Antivirus.

i dont trust most free anti virus programs, i bought malwarebytes on my current pc and it couldnt find the trojan on that when i knew for sure it was on their. but reinstall the registry sounds like a good call, but will the deleted mui file in system 32 be an issue?
