False the gtx 780 ti uses around 250 watts under full load.

I own one and monitor the usage.

I had the cx 600 and used it with a 780.

The actual wattage of the cx 600 is 480 watts.

480 watts is enough, My systems uses under 400 watts under load with the 780 ti.

The problem with the cx 600 is it's not designed for hardcore gamers and I don't recommend it for a high end gaming rig...

Even if his CPU had a 150W TDP, he would be fine. All other components are negligible in terms of power consumption.

CX being the hobby line of Corsair. If you ever upgraded, look for a Corsair PSU that is a Seasonic OEM. That or just buy a seasonic or XFX. I doubt that the max output of the PSU is actually that far below spec, as I own a freaking 900W HUNTKEY PSU and I am fully capable of drawing the rated 900W.

Granted, but you must leave yourself comfortable room for the power supply, most PSU's are the most efficient at 60-80% load.
