So I'm thinking of buying the Gigabyte 990XA UD3 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-SKT-AM3-990XA-UD3-Motherboard-Rev/dp/B005519X6Q/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1400613841&sr=8-3&keywords=gigabyte+990fxa-ud3), but reviews on Ebuyer say With an aftermarket cooler the First DIMM Slot is covered.

I want to know, with a CM Hyper 212 EVO, Will it be completely covered? If not will Low profile RAM such as this Fit? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CML8GX3M2A2133C11B-Vengeance-Profile-Performance/dp/B008KSHXUO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1402429733&sr=8-7&keywords=8gb+ram+low+profile

Furthermore: If faster RAM (2133Mhz opposed to 1600Mhz) is cheaper, is it worth buying?

Cheers,

Cheers for pointing out the RAM, this board takes up to 2000 not 2133.

As for the CM 212 EVO, you can slide the fan up? so it's adjustable?

In preparation for overclocking my new build, I bought and installed a Corsair H70 Hydro-cooler. Not only is it vastly quieter then the stock CPU cooler (which was loud enough to stun small animals at 6 paces :)), it does not block any of the DIMM slots.

Found the hydro-cooler at New egg refurbished for $45.00 including shipping

my rig;
AMD FX 8350 Black
Gigabyte 990 XA UD3
8G Ballistic Sport 1866
MSI Twin Frozer 750Ti
