Do you think this is a good build for the price?

This build is from cyberpowerpc.com. It costs $1599 in total. Are the specs good for minecraft? How much fps will it get? Any suggestions for parts? Thanks

More about good build price
  1. Its not "terribly" overpriced for what you are buying just fairly high for spec, i just think some of the parts choices are terrible.

    For example:
a 4770k will perform as well or better in games , with the much cheaper 4670k performing the same in games also.
The h60 isnt a very high performance cooler.
and they dont tell you what PSU it is (its probably a cheap one)

What cooler would you suggest instead? Also, I dont think the 4770k is compatible, and it's not much cheaper.

You're right if you switched to the 4770k you would have to change motheboards as well, but 2011 motherboards are often more expensive than 1150 seat ones (since the 1150's only support 32 gb of ram and also dont support pci multi-card x16,x16 laning)but none of that matters for this build anyway so that may be for the best.

As for coolers, the H110 is the best performer from corsair, with the H100i being close behind while also giving corsairs suite of monitoring and control software making it generally quieter.

Also since i didnt mention this earlier, regardless of what you decide to do this machine, it will tear through minecraft (200+ fps) and most any game with atleast 60fps
  5. One last question: If you know anything about the CFI Borrealight or NZXT Source 530 Full Tower Cases..Which one is better in terms of space, airflow, etc. I know the NZXT can fit 10 fans. I couldnt find exact fan count for the CFI, but I know it has a fan adjustment speed.
  6. I have never personally owned either of these two cases so take some of what i'm saying with a grain of salt.

They both seem to be quite seem more than adequate internal space to work in, i haven't seen the back of the borealight but i do know that the source has a generous amount of cable management in back also.As for their air flow they should both again be more than sufficient, with the source 530's 9 fans and the borrealight's 8 (source: http://www.buyxg.com/store/item.aspx?id=5062&catid=5) If i had to make an educated guess as to the superior airflow i would say the source case is better in that respect. This is primarily due to how densely packed the front HDD drive area is on the borrealight case to allow for more drives (seen here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqNTYkvhEgU#t=392) which will likely choke the front intake a small bit.
However they will both support large radiator on top for watercooling so it really inst an issue for just cooling a single gpu.

As far as build quality they both seem very well built, (and are either tooless or semitooless which is always nice) With the borrealight probably having the more bells and whistles. I personally like the dedicated hot swap HDD bay side door but that may be completely irrelevant for you. but if I had to pick myself i would pick the source case STRICTLY because i think it would allow me the widest range of conceivable customization in the future.

All in all i dont think you can "go wrong" as it were, by picking either of them.
