Hi,

So I currently have the latest version of Ubuntu. I want to erase Ubuntu and install Windows 7.

Because I am a student, I can download Windows 7 for free via DreamSpark. After downloading the Windows 7 ISO, I created a bootable drive with my flash drive.

I go into the BIOS and boot from the USB drive that supposedly has the Windows 7 installation on it. However, every time I do, I get the following message:

"Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

It almost seems as though it isn't recognizing the drive as a bootable drive. I've tried several tools, including Win32DiskImager and Rufus, with the same results.

Is it possible that the ISO I'm getting from DreamSpark isn't the one I need?

Could it be a possible corrupted ISO? Looks like for some reason it isn't recognizing the ISO as a valid boot media. Maybe you could try to re-download the ISO. That could be a start.

Its an ITX machine so I don't have a CD drive. I know it supports booting from USB because that's how I got Ubuntu on it in the first place
