Help with this new PC I am planning to build

Hello, this is the first pc i am about to build. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/LRMCFT

I got lots of help from a previous post, and i made a new combination.
If theres anything i should change, please let me know!
Also, i think the motherboard in this build is new, so i couldn't find any reviews/ratings, i wanna know what you think about it. i will be buying the parts from amazon.ca and the Canada Computers near my house. Thanks a lot!

i might not even have enough money haha. right now im focusing on Gaming, not so much loading times. trying to save as much as possible while getting kickass graphics. i will definetly consider an SDD

Mobo is fine. If money is an issue I would drop down to the i5 and/or GTX 770. They are almost as powerful.

I agree with damric on the i5 part. For gaming, an i5 and i7 are pretty much the same. I'd wait for the i5-4790K to launch in a couple of weeks before ordering, it's a better CPU for a couple bucks more than the 4670K. Keep the 780 though if you can

Thanks! how long do you think this PC will last? is terms of when something will break down, and when the system becomes outdated (cant handle games anymore)

Each component has a warranty. That PSU has a 10 year warranty, lol. Everything should last a long time, if not, send it back to the manufacturer for RMA. Expect ~5 years before obsolete.

i heard the gtx 800 series is coming. should i wait? i heard that they are cheaper than the 700s when they came out, but more powerful. I just dont wanna regret getting a 780 and then the 870 comes out and im just like damn.

Like not the highest end stuff, couple tiers down. Like instead of GTX 780, I would get GTX 760

ahhh i was about to go for the 760 EVGA superclocked, but then its always been my dream to get the most powerful

thanks for the help, i wont be buying the parts till the end of august. plenty of time to fine tune the components, find out if the mobo is good or not.

I agree with damric on mid-range components. I sell them for 1/2-2/3 what I paid for them when I upgrade. But if you can, and the new generations of graphics cards have just come out it's never a bad idea to buy high-end.

What's sad is super expensive graphics cards just a couple years old like the GTX 580 are like $100-150 now because today's mid range cards are now just as fast. It's hard to sell a GTX 480, lol.

Yep. My OC'd R9 270 beats high-end cards from a couple gens ago. Just the way technology evolves.

Yeah my brother-in-law straight up gave me a GTX 280 for free last year. I remember when that card was beast. I traded it on the forums for some hard drives

My PC?

My latest build I had to RMA my SSD twice but they ended up upgrading it to the next higher model so it's cool. Other than that, I've built so many PCs that it's hard for them to go horribly wrong.

when did u build ur latest? what are the specs and where did u buy most of it?

When i read reviews on MOBOs on newegg and stuff, theres always lots of reviews on DOA but that just because angry people are more likely to review a product. its hard to choose the right stuff when u think everything breaks down

i have never built a pc before, but im guessing the hardest part is looking for the right parts

i wish pcs can adapt the console's aspect of being so easy to use
