Hey guys. I'm still new to overclocking my hardware, so I'm being extra cautious and seeing how far I can push my 770 without overvolting. I just wanted to post here to make sure my settings are safe and I'm not going to fry my 770. :)

I know that no two cards will OC the same, and I've read the 770's max is around 1254MHz, I have my 770 running at 1241MHz core clock, with a 3655MHz memory clock.

My afterburner settings -

Core Voltage - Default
Power Limit - 110%
Core Clock - +85
Memory Clock - +150
Fan Speed - 70% (Temps never go above 60)

I've let Unigine Heaven run for an hour and my system was stable and didn't crash or show artifacts. If I push the core clock up to +95 I get an extra 1-2 FPS but even with an extra 10mV it's unstable and I want to avoid overvolting for the time being. Are my settings safe for extended use?

In the future, should I want to get more performance, will overvolting by 12mV(max) potentially harm my GPU in extended use? I already hear my GPU whining and buzzing while it sucks up all the power it can at full load, which makes overvolting a bit sketchy, IMHO.

Solution
I oc'ed my Asus 770 DCII to 1.210GHZ (it OC'es itself to 1.3GHZ in-game) with mainly Core Clock and Voltage, set the Power Limit at 100%/80C. Fan at auto, never goes above 55C at full Load (40% Fan Speed), on-air, Phantom 630.

First I run my card at default settings, and checked how much it OC'es by itself (to 1.210GHZ)
After half hour, I set the Core Clock and Voltage it used as it OC'ed itself.
(I know, that's minimalistic way to OC, but well it's good if all works well).
Tested with Heaven and Valley's for 1-2 hours, everything stable, while at it (I noticed it OC'ed itself to 1.3GHZ, ROFL).
I think I got super lucky with my GPU lottery, this time around.
BTW, I also plan getting 880, when it's release, hope it will have normal...

I'm not to concerned with it lasting a LONG time, I just need 2 years out of it at most. I'm a nerd, when the 880 is released I'll save up and upgrade to that.

Once again, I know that no 2 cards will OC the same, but what are your settings for your card? Have you found the upper limit for your particular card yet?

Thanks!

Have fun and good luck and a good chip.
