I recently bought this new graphics card GTX 760 4GB for my computer. When I was playing CS:GO, everything was running smooth until the game froze. I couldnt do anything: cannot go to windows, cannot start up my task manager. The only option I did was to restart my computer from the power button. Would this be the problem of my graphics card although it was purchased as brand new or Does my 650W PSU is not enough to support my system?

My current build:
i5 2500k @ 3.3 GHz
GTX 760 4GB
8.00GB RAM
650W PSU
1 TB WD hard drive
160GB Intel SSD

Thank you for your help!

There are 2 possiblities-
1. The PSU is not enough, better u try with a 800W
2. Your processor is having overload due to background Apps or antivirus...

Your power supply is big enough, it is possibly not QUALITY enough.
You should be looking at a 550 to 650 watt QUALITY item like an XFX 550 pro.
Counter strike g0 is unlikely to stress your cpu, and even if you had things running in the background it would not make any difference. At worst on full cpu load you might slow down. The system was fine until you changed the graphics card so your power supply needs replacing with a GOOD one, not a BIGGER one.
You DO NOT NEED 800 WATTS.!

This is my card, I thought 650W should be enough to handle it.
And for option #2, does that mean I have to install a new processor?

No just check with task manager that any unnessesary app is running or not..
And sorry for the 800W thing... Get a Corsair PSU of 650W and u will be fine...By the way what is your manufacturer of PSU?

If the problem persists after I got a better quality PSU, what might you think that problem is at?

Tell your specs in full...Whenever the PSU cannot supply enough power the system crashes.. in this case your GPU crashes... May be u shud update your graphics driver first.

My driver is up to date and all I've changed in my computer was only the graphics card. And my PSU is actually Corsair TX650.
