if you want to make the best of it you could get a graphics card depending on what your budget is. a radeon 280x or Nvidia 760 or 750ti

if your upgrading the processor to then an core i5 is all you need for gaming. so I would get one of the newer ones if you can afford it, for cpu bound games and future.

as for the graphics card it is somewhat of a personal choice between NVidia and amd Radeon. so you can check out the article linked above or check out something in the NVidia 760 range or Radeon 270.

If he/she didn't want to upgrade the CPU, they wouldn't really have to. The i3-2130 in that Acer Veriton already performs better than an FX-6300 in some games, and never performs too much worse.
A GTX 750 TI is probably all I'd risk on the power supply and in a case with so little room, so a GTX 750 TI and replacing the RAM with 8GB would probably offer the most practical benefit for the price, and would turn it into a competent mid-range gaming PC, comparable in performance to the Xbox One.

Instead of upgrading the veriton, make your custom rig. Its cheaper to make a custom rig rather than to upgrade a simple pc into a gaming machine . i am currently using a acer Veriton but i m not happy with its graphics, ram, psu so I will make a custom pc of AMD, and will use veriton's optical driver and its hard disk and if possible the case also and i will buy a new PSU of atleast 700 W so .......... the main point is - to play new games like bf4 ,cod ghosts, assassin's creed 5, and the bf hardline which i thing are the upcoming games will have a high sys requirement so using a i3 processor u cant play this all games so my suggestion is to make a custom rig insted of upgrading btw My total cost of my new rig is almost 35000 rupees means 600 $
