Posting on behalf of my friend who has this rig:

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6600
Ram: 2GB DDR2
GPU: Sapphire R7 250 1G GDDR5

I know this system is nowhere near the minimum reqs and the gpu is severely bottlenecked by his cpu.. but is there any chance the game will boot in this system or even be playable in a 768p resolution?

Solution
The video card is OK to run it at lower settings, the CPU will struggle and you want 4 gig of RAM or more.

It should start, and maybe playable at Low settings but any benchmark for lower range video cards was done using a faster CPU than what you have, so is tough to say for sure. If you can upgrade the CPU to a Q6600 or higher, Q9650 maybe if your motherboard can run that, would be best to ensure that the system can play the game at least on lower settings. Depending on the price of the upgrades, you may want to save $300 and go for a full CPU/Motherboard/RAM swap and just re-use your video card / case / hard drive.
