MOTHER BOARD - GIGABYTE GA-MA74GMT-S2
PROCESSOR - AMD ATHLON IIX2 245 2.99 GHZ
RAM - 4GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE + 2 GB CORSAIR VALUE SELECT DDR3.
HARDISK - 500 GB
GPU - AMD HD 6450

I HAVE GRAPHIC CARD WHICH DOES NOT SUPPORT MANY OF HIGHER END GAMES LIKE AC4, NFS RIVAL, BATTLE FIELD 4, FAR CRY 4 ETC.

PLEASE SUGGEST ME SOME GOOD GAMING GRAPHIC CARD below USD 150 - 180
Also please advice me if PSU need to be upgraded.

Solution
If you want to take it step by step and just upgrade as money comes along, get a 270x + psu now, maybe when you get more money, get an i5 and a new motherboard. 6gb of RAM should hold the system alright.
Assuming this is a prebuilt computer, you would probably need a new psu if you are to upgrade the gpu, at least if you go with the AMD cards. If you do go with the 270, your cpu might bottleneck the card slightly. I'd suggest, if you want the cheap route, the r9 260x + psu would probably give you a decent boost. I think you might still hit a slight bottleneck for a game that's more cpu intensive though.

Ok. for that, you may have to upgrade your card if you play new and demanding games at high settings.
And yes, you will require a 500W-600W psu atleast.
By upgrade i mean increasing the budget for the gpu.

Just something you might want to consider, if you do get a 270x or 280, and stick with the same CPU, you may encounter CPU bottlenecks, however, both of these GPUs support Mantle, so in Mantle supported games, you will experience less, if any, CPU bottleneck.

Please immediately change the psu.
the i-ball 400W will blow up on startup itself with the upgraded rig. :p
purchase a branded high wattage psu like 550W or above.
ya the cpu may bottleneck the gpu.
you can upgrade to AMD Phenom II chip with that motherboard. (AM3)

hello friends

thanks for your solutions & guidelines

i have finally decided to buy r9 270x. but i am confused with different models and brands like sapphire, asus, zotac, xfx etc.
Radeon R9 270X Sapphire Dual-X 2GB OC Edition
Radeon R9 270X Sapphire Vapor-X 2GB OC Edition
Radeon R9 270X Sapphire Toxic 2GB OC Edition
Radeon R9 270X PowerColor 2GB OC TurboDuo Edition

Does it make any difference.

also there is a huge price difference between them. now i am totally confused which model should i consider & is a best.

I am buying Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 270X with Boost OC 2 GB 2 GB DDR5 Graphics Card
Is this graphic card good enough

your sugessition would be highly appreciated

The brands are just brands and each brand have different cooler designs and what not. The sapphire card is fine.

It's all dependent on what is within your budget.

The gpu upgrade will need a psu upgrade. I don't think your current psu is strong enough or high enough quality to power everything without possible bad things happening.

ASUS gpu's are comparatively pricier.
You can go with the Sapphire model.. as it is just a brand- price differentiation and the quality is same. Its just the memory difference if there's a huge price difference.
i think the sapphire card will be good and it also suits your budget.
