Why is my FX8350 running so hot?

At the moment he is 45-55 Celsius in idle. With a game session for about one hour he shuts him self off.. I have mounted a h80i watercooler he isn't Overclocked:??:

Well i only have this paste on my cpu for almost 2 months. But i don't think it can be do any bad to replace it now? Well then i am going to the store. I will let you know if this solved my problem:))

That CPU runs hot by itself, but in Idle it seems kinda hot, indeed, specially for such cooler. Try to re-mount it just to make sure. Also check the thermal paste, even tho it's supposed to cool, if excessively applied, it will do the opposite to what it is supposed to.
