Hello,
few weeks ago, I bought a new OTG flash drive, tried it on both my phone and pc and it worked fine. Yesterday, I had to use a friends laptop (runs win8), got some files and unplugged the device (not sure if it was still transferring the data or not, friend said it was OK to unplug). But when I plugged it in again into my pc (win7 64x), it installed it's driver again and showed up as Generic USB Drive with 0 mb space (originally 64 GB), These are information offered by device manager:
Generic USB Flash Disk USB Device

General:
Device type: Disk drives
Manufacturer: (standard disk drives)
Location: USB Mass storage device

Volumes:
Disk: Disk 2
Type: Removable
Status: No Media
Capacity: 0 MB
Unallocated space: 0 MB
Reserved space: 0 MB
Volumes: /just some drive icon, no info/ Capacity: 0 MB

So I did some research to see if I can use it again. I checked the drive first to see if it's not broken or something, but everything was fine (it is a new drive after all)
I tried to uninstall the driver and than install it again, but it was useless.
So I tried to formate it. When I plugged it in the pc, it was recognized and showed up in My Computer, but couldn't be opened or formatted, window with "insert the disk" message popped up and it couldn't be formated either. So I tried low level format tool, but device was not listed among format-able devices.
Then, I tried another recommended program, HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (2.2.3).
Device was listed, but when I tried to formate it, "There is no media in specified device" window popped up.
Next, I tried to reach it trough the cmd, so I started diskpart -> list disk, but Disk 2, where my drive was plugged in, was empty, I could select it, but couldn't clean it or do anything else.
What should I do now? I don't want to throw it away, so I wonder if there is some option left for me, yet I tried the most common solutions on the internet . Thank you for all answers, I hope I included enough info.
