HIS R9 290 i think i messed up

if you look on that image the High Performance memory clock setting it says 1250 MHz. So i thought it was normal but i start looking up how to over clock this card and people are saying they are trying to push the 1235 MHz mark. I thought it was a little weird since people wanted to get to a number lower than mine and i have this as default. Since i noticed this i was thinking would this make my GPU run even hotter than needed since some games i have to set to low or my GPU sounds like a jet

1250 MHz DDR5 is Effective Memory Clock 5000MHz
that is standard. where did you see these "people" at? links? are you sure they wasn't talking about the gpu clock?
