Windows 8.1 Update WDDM 1.3 issue

So last night I got an update notification about there being an update for Windows 8.1 WDDM 1.3 so I installed the update and the Catalyst Control Center icon seem to disapear. Did I mess something up here? I had the latest CCC for my HD7870 GPU installed on Windows 8.1 Professional x64

Could someone elaborate what exactly WDDM drivers are I've never come across them before

They are Generic drives for your card , no CCC in the package .
Go to AMD.com and download the CCC Suite.

Drivers here ^


Next time you see them listed don't include it in your updates.

Thanks for the speedily response mate.

That would explain why it replaced my latest version of CCC + AMD drive package.
