I have a pair of Ripjaws X 16Gb 2x8Gb 1600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231568&cm_re=ripjaws_x_16gb_1600-_-20-231-568-_-Product

all 16 gigs are detected and are usable but i am wondering why the speed is only at 667. Any ideas?

Memory diagnostic tools and operating systems show memory value in single date rate, that is normal. If you enter bios, will show you the double data rate there.

From that picture, your memory is operating at 1333Mhz double data rate like rgd1101 says. Task manager in the picture is not precise enough but is showing 667Mhz x 2 = 1334, close enough.

Check your bios, might have to either enable AMP - AMD Memory Profile or force memory to run at 1600Mhz. It will show as 800Mhz in your task manager but long as your bios is telling you 1600, its what it shall be.

its weird, its probably easy for someone knowing what to do, but when a motherboard specifies something should be native it shouldn't be a hassle.

Anyways that motherboard should be 1600native at default, shouldn't even need to enter bios besides adjusting boot order, well memory specs for it says DDR3 2450(OC)/2100(OC)/1600/1333/1066 Bit odd. We'll see when riol gets back.

hello, thanks for your responses. i didn't find anything about XMP, DOCP or EOCP in the UEFI. I checked it again, using CPU-z this time.
