Hello!

I am completely new to desktop upgrading and have never upgraded any piece from within my desktops so I may be asking very simple questions.

I currently have an ASUS G10AC and I am looking to increase it's overall performance, mainly related to gaming. It currently has a ~100gb SSD/2.7gb HHD, 32GB ram and an NVIDIA GTX780 Graphics card. My question is, what can I replace/upgrade to get a noticeable performance increase?

Thanks in advance!

The main hit to performance in 4k is by far GPU-bound. A single 780 won't really cut it for 4k gaming, you'll want at least another 780 in SLI, and even then you'd be looking at 40-50 FPS in medium to high, depending on the game. 4k isn't nice to GPUs lol

I would look into 1440p if I were you. A 780 by itself can do pretty well at 1440p, and adding a second makes gaming amazing :) Of course, that is quite a bit of money though.

Thanks for the answer and it's kind of what I figured. I currently just have an Asus monitor running traditional 1080p. I was looking into maybe upgrading to a 4k monitor, would my currint system support that? Also, where would the power for the 4k come from? I do not want to suffer any performance issues while playing any MMO's or FPS, Etc.
