Hi guys

I bought a second hand 6850...first time I tried it, everything worked until Windows Index base score, then after that it all went south with no DVI when you try to run the score, try to use the card for gaming etc.

After this I just took it out and put my old 6450's back inside the system. Later I thought maybe for some reason that DVI port was just at fault and I could try the 2nd one below it. So I unplugged mine and plugged that back in again. Then after that I couldn't for the life of me get the thing to work like at all. Not even the fan would spin, and I haven't a clue why. I got to at least use it to a point before, now I'm plugging it in for the 2nd time and the fan won't spin whatsoever, and the display isn't detected. I haven't the faintest clue why...any ideas?

I'd rather not return it, ofc getting it to work is beneficial. However looking at it now that's a long shot. Any ideas as to why the fans won't spin and it's not being detected now?

Thx

Being second-hand it may have been on it's last legs anyway, and now it's just packed up completely. I'd never even consider buying used PC components 'cos you can't tell just by looking at them if they are in full working order, nor do you know how hard it's been working with it's previous owner.

Don't worry about it guys, I'm pretty certain the card is just dead now.

Thanks
