I want to do a quick run by... I've made about 4 forums asking if it's compatible, because I keep changing it

I want to make sure EVERYTHING I need is in this order (except a phillips screwdriver) this includes anything I need that is not a phillips. I want to make sure that my aftermarket cpu cooler comes with thermal paste, and is compatible with the i7 4790k, and I want to be sure all my cables are long enough. Is EVERYTHING included, and compatible/long enough, and if not...what else do I need?

Get some acrtic silver 5 or mx 4 thermal paste the stuff that comes with the cooler is almost always crap.

Yup its compatible. But if you are going to just use that for gaming and surfing the web that is a tremendous waste of money. But if you do other stuff like video production and music production its worth it i suppose.

A 550watt psu would be plenty for that build and if i was spending 1400 dollars on a pc i would definatly try to fit in a SSD.

swapped out the z87 mb for the newer z97 mb it let you latter put in a newer intel cpu when they drop for the 1150 chipset.

the msi I posted was just the replacement of your msi mb. the x97 mb are less then 30 days old so there not ging to be to many reviews yet. I have an older sabertoth z77 and I do like asus mb and there simple efi bio. check the spec of both mb if yur going to crossfire or sli them. some mb now do crossfire but not sli on the lower end z chipet mb. (the asus-k dont but the a do).
