Hi, I'm running two r9 290's in crossfire. One from gigabyte and one from Sapphire. Both with aftermarket coolers.
I decided to check my score in firestrike (extreme) and got the following:
Score: 7014
Graphics score: 8758
Physics score: 7649
Is this accurate for two r9 290's? I've seen results with 1000 points above me without overclocking, I haven't overclocked myself yet. Temperatures are below the 80's on both the cards and my cpu stays around 50c.
Specs:
FX-8350
GA-990FXA-UD3
R9 290 WINDFORCE
R9 290 TRI-X
XFX PROSERIES 850W 80+ BRONZE
One thing I've noticed is that my power usage goes down to around 150w at certain times in games, but it doesn't seem to affect my framerate. Otherwise I'm drawing between 650-720w on load.
Opinions? Thanks in advance.

I feel like TH is a ghost town now? I know, lot's of threads go unanswered, it's pretty sad. Thinking of starting to use other forums.
How the hell did you get your 8350 to 5Ghz with an H80? wtf?
Through tweaking. I played around a lot with my ram and northbridge voltages for better stability. Of course it's not stable 24 hour+ in prime95. But it could handle intel burn test just fine and my system has been stable with it with a normal cpu usage. However now my h80i is dead because the pump died, so never Corsair again.

Lol well I'm pretty sure pushing your AIO that hard "may" have had something to do with it... the H100i I have is great, but I don't imagine I'd see any real gains from pushing it to 5Ghz so I'll just stay at 4.6Ghz and let it be cold as ice.

Haha, there are few games that benefit enough from cpu overclocking in order for it to be worth it, I just do it as a hobby. It's fun.
Gonna try this with an NH-D14 as soon as I get some low profile ram. I might consider removing the heat spreaders on my high profile ram but as of right now I need them to work.-
