Hi. I have Windows 8.1 + 7 on my system. 8.1 is installed first and then 7.
I have created boot entry for win 7 using easyBCD but whenever I boot my system, no boot menu opens. Windows 8.1 is booted without any choices. Any solution so I can get dual boot?

Both are listed with 30 sec timeout.
Two of windows 7 and one of win 8.1
One win 7 was created since I installed it and other one I created using easyBCD. For first time win 7 was booted but when I booted win 8.1, no boot menu appears. It boot directly.

1. I would suggest you install and run Dual-boot Repair tool for Windows 8.1.
Click on "Automatic Repair". This will fix if there is anything wrong with your boot manager settings.

2. Download and install Visual BCD Editor. Run the tool.
Delete all existing Windows 7 loaders listed under "Loaders" ( right click and select delete).

3. Still in Visual BCD Editor type function key <F9> - this will create a new loader for Windows 7 (in your case).
Then select newly created loader and on Object tab click on "Set as default loader".

After reboot you should have a working dual-boot menu with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1

Hey that didn't worked for me as well

I found that I can use win 7 if i completely boot to 8.1 and then do a restart, after that it will show boot menu. each time when I have to use 7, I have to boot into 8.1, restart and then finally I reach 7. Is there any way so I can boot to 7 without booting to 8.1 first?
