If you ex-change GPU in your PC.
You first uninstall all GPU drivers, then it promts you to restart PC, you restart it.
If you get Windows driver update prompts before shutting down pc and after start up, then decline them.
After restarting your PC, clean your registry, shut down your PC.
Power off your Power Supply, wait 30 seconds until everything get powered down.
Touch something metal before touching components to discharge any electrostatic charges on you.
Exchange GPU's, connect everything and turn on power to the PC, start PC.
If you again get any prompts, then decline them, install yourself nvidia graphic drivers or by using GF Exp.
It should all work correctly.

If you didn't follow this correct procedure of exchanging GPU's...

and are trying to use same graphic driver, not even re-installing it, then you just got problems caused by errors which were caused by conflict in the driver.
