Hi
Is it save to overclock a powercolor 7950 with stock cooling .without oc my control catalyst says
High performance gpu clock
700 mhz (oc able to 1200 mhz)
High performance clock
1250mhz (oc able to 1575 mhz)
Power oc able to 20%+

Also is the stock mhz showing right??

A stock 7950 is 800/1250. So that 700mhz does not sound right. Usually, any 7950 can oc to 1000mhz safely without having to worry about temps. If it is a boost card (ex. 925mhz boost @ 1.250 volts) you should be able to oc past 1000mhz. Just remember to monitor core and vrm temps with a utility such as gpu-z for example. And I also recommend manually increasing the fan speed whenever you overclock. I can give you more accurate info if you tell me the exact model of your GPU.

It is GPU-Z not CPU-Z. and you want to click on the sensors tab. Click on the temp and select max so you can see the highest reading. How far did you overclock it too? If it is crashing it either needs more voltage or it just cant overclock that high.
