Need a New CPU Cooler

My CPU cooler can no longer keep my CPU at operable temperatures due to more intensive games. I need a CPU cooler for an AMD Phenum II x6 Black Edition. I have already tried reapplying the thermal paste, but to no avail. I want the cooler to be fairly quiet (it doesn't have to be whisper quiet, just don't want it to sound like a jet engine), good (obviosuly, I want it to last me for years to come), and I want it to be fairly cheap (bellow $100). I am currently running the stock cooler.

CURRENT BUILD:
CPU: AMD Phenum II x6 Black Edition
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 Superclocked
Motherboard:
Biostar +TA870U3
PSU: Cooler Master GX 750W Bronze
RAM: 8GB
Case: NZXT Phantom ATX (White)

Thanks for any and all responses.

Assuming that it will fit in your case, I typically recommend 120mm tower-style coolers other than the frequently-parroted Hyper212 EVO. It is not that the EVO is a bad cooler (it isn't), but competitors such as NZXT, Enermax, and Gammax offer virtually identical products (+/- 1C-2C either way, depending on fan used), generally for less money. This makes the CM a bang/buck Loser, and I try not to recommend Losers.
The Xigmatek Gaia, now with it's price similarly jacked, may be a little quieter per reviews at www.frostytech.com, but again is going to be more expensive than its competition. Frostytech.com is a very good site to check out reviews of any number of different coolers.

Edit: If it fits, and you want to spend more, the Noctua Eduello listed would be even quieter, but it is also considerably more money.

If you want quiet and reliable i would get a water cooler. Look at the Antec Kuhler H20 620. It works with your socket set, and you would be able to keep it if you upgrade eventually. $89.99 under your $100 budget. Enclosed water coolers are also relatively easy to install, though aftermarket CPU coolers are never as easy as stock. Also the enclosed water coolers are also maintenance free!

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO's price is looking extremely attractive, but the reviews are all using it for i5's and Athlon II's. Would this cooler be good for my current CPU. Also for everyone wondering, size is not an issue as I have a full tower. I would prefer not to get a water cooler as I don't want to replace any of my case fans.

Thank you for the heads up, but do you know if you can link me some of those cheaper coolers? The main reason I asked here is because I know nothing about CPU coolers and I don't even know where to start to find some of those.

The easiest one to go with would be a coolermaster hyper t4. Other coolers would require you to remove the motherboard to install, unless you have an access hole in your case. The T4 will use the stock mounting bracket on the motherboard to install. It is a close cousin of the Hyper 212.
