Asus Z97-A Opened Box?

Today I received my "new" Asus Z97-A motherboard however the box was unsealed and opened right up. The anti-static bag for the motherboard was unsealed as well and the motherboard came right out without having to open anything. Is this normal/standard for the packaging described above?

Anyone could have easily opened the box and returned it and I was worried that this might be a returned product. If it was a returned product, what is the best way to tell?

In the case that it was previously returned how do I make sure that the BIOS settings were not modified by the previous owner to overclock or break the CPU/other components in my computer? This is my first build so am I just worrying too much? Thanks!

Sounds like you bought a refurbished motherboard or an open box deal.. A lot of ASUS boxes don't have seals on the outsides of them to prevent you from actually opening the box but the anti static bag or other factors would be a big sign to say hey this has been opened and/or used before.

It was purchased directly from Amazon (no third parties) and I am positive I purchased it as new. To answer one of the other posters, yes it does include all of the accessories and they are nicely sealed. The CPU plastic plate is also in place. It is just the box itself and the anti-static bag that are unsealed.

If you're that worried..why haven't you just reached out to Amazon? They'll replace/refund it for you if you're that concerned..
