Frame drops across intensive games

Hey you guys...

I was just wondering if there's someone out there who has addressed and fixed this issue before. I experience major frame skipping/frame drops across all my games, something that decreased a little bit after turning off Windows Defender. Now, assuming I'm experiencing this due to open apps or Windows monitoring programs is there any other thing that needs to be shut down? Thanks...

So your are getting stuttering and it only happens when Windows Defender is Enabled or when it is doing a scan? I also use 8GB of memory and in Windows 8 pro the Desktop processes will usually be at 1% CPU usage and about 15% memory usage in the Task manager. Just keep an eye on the things that usually run and you will notice when something is not as it should be or just should not be there at all.
