Laptop Cant connect to Airport Expresses network, can connect to guest network

This is a bit weird, I have an Airport Express set up as main router. All other devices can connect to it just fine, my windows 7 laptop cannot. it can however connect to the guest network that is set up on the router. i have tried rebooting the router and laptop.

Any ideas?

Some routers run both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz wifi and are seen as separate devices on the newtwork by a laptop. Each one will have its own name (SSID) and password.

Samsung Laptop RV510

does have WiFi. it is able to connect to the guest network setup on the router, but not able to connect to any secured network. i have tried this on another network and it cant connect to that one either. I have done the samsung recovery and restored to initial setup and it still cant connect.
