If you're not going to read the checklist, then you're on your own -
"1.Did you carefully read the motherboard owners manual?

2. Did you plug in the 4/8-pin CPU power connector located near the CPU socket? "

etc etc - all before starting the pc let alone getting into bios.

So on pc start up do you get bios loaded and windows loaded before the display cuts out?

Have you plugged in the power connectors to your video card?

The monitor stays completely dark when the PC is powered on.

OK - so it doesn't come on at all?

Check that the cable is in the right port on the monitor and graphics card.

Check that the cable is in good condition.

Should we have a cable that plugs directly into the graphics card? We are using a standard blue monitor cord that plugs into the motherboard. The graphics card did not come with a cord that plugs into it.

Edit: We just found the adapter that allows the blue cord to plug into the graphics card, currently applying it to the system.

Edit 2: Okay thank you for your assistance dude! We got it to work! Just us not looking through the entire box for the graphics card.
