So I was rendering a video on my computer and my computer suddenly shuts down. At this point the computer has a blank cd in it and two usb's. I reboot my computer , the hplogo pops up, then for whatever reason I get a message from my monitor saying auto adjustment in process. Once this goes by I get a black screen with a flashing underscore, which seems to last forever, hitting ctraltdelete restarts the hole process. I went into bios and changed my boot settings so hdd comes before cdrom,however nothing changes. by the way I have removed all those usbs and cds from my computer. I have a ot of important work on that computer and could any help given. But please make it understandable my knowledge of computers is not that deep

I may be inclined to blame your PSU here but before coming to conclusions, I'll suggest turning off the computer for about two hours and powering it up again. That should give any 'blown' poly-fuses a chance to reset.
