I currently have a 3gb gtx780 and was wondering what the recommendations were for the best display I could get to run with it? The higher resolution the better in my opinion.

I may also be looking at trying to add another 3gb gtx780 to try to make it SLI ,would this provide a significant graphical upgrade for me?

The Nvidia GTX 780 are good up to 4096x2160. The higher the rez, the lower the fps will be, and adding a 2nd 250W card in SLI will need a pretty good sized, good quality PSU. It will also want to be running at least x8, x8 lane PCIe X16. So check that your MB doesn't have a x4 lane slot for the 2nd PCIe x16 slot.

IS the PSU only an external thing (ie the power cord) or is there a portion on the inside as well that needs to be changed if I upgrade the PSU. Since I don't know much about upgrading computer parts, how can I find that information out about my MB?

Edit: I should have probably mentioned, my desktop is an Asus G10AC 32gbram, ~100ssd/2.7gb HDD

The BEST display for gaming is the soon-to-be-released ASUS G-Sync Swift for $800 (2560x1440).

It's a lot of money, but I'd far rather have that monitor with a single GTX780 than 2xGTX780 with a low-res, non-GSync monitor.

2560x1440:
G-Sync aside for the moment, it's simply awesome to game on a high-res monitor. Games with smaller HUD/Text elements look far better (SC2, CIV5, Diablo III, Company of Heroes, etc..). I still game at 1920x1080 for many games that don't look much different, however even for those the larger 27" makes a big difference and the extra pixels help even if the game resolution is lower.

If G-Sync doesn't sound amazing, you probably don't quite understand the technology.

I'm pretty sure I understand the tech well as the general principle sounds simple. Match up GPU to Monitor Refreshes in order to make a more fluid looking film/game/etc. even at lower FPS. Would this technology help with somebody that isn't getting screen tears, just occasional lags?

That monitor sounds like a beast! I would not love getting it but sadly, it's coming out a bit later than I wanted to upgrade, patience is not a virtue of mine sadly. As I said before, I am currently using a G10AC and not really wanting to replace the desktop itself just possibly upgrade the graphics card/monitor. Are you familiar if the G10AC can have it's single GTX780 replaced with a 780Titan perhaps?

I took some pictures to see if that might help, not the best at taking photos, I know. If I CAN replace the GPU, would the 780TI be an improvement worth investing in? And do you know of any other highly recommended 1440p gaming monitors? My budget for the card, monitor, and any other things I may have to change(PSU maybe) is from $1500-$2000 which I am hoping is enough to get some nice gear.

Thanks for all the help!

The PSU (power supply unit) is the grey box in your last pic. It would need to be changed for running two cards. But since that is a pre-built Gateway PC, I doubt it has the MB necessary for SLI. Stay with the single card. Otherwise, consider a complete new build.
