Limitting 2d cloks on 260x..

So i have 260x wit black screen issues and recently found that limitting 2d memory clock can help..Nowhere i could find a guide to limit 2d clocks..Can some help me out with this...My last hope before rma..

Just did it with msi ab..but managed to limit memory to only 750...Any suggestions are still welcome...Thanks in advance..

The clock setting doesn't stay after retsart...Goes to normal though the 2d profile would still be the one active..Have to open msi ab after restart and clikc the same profile agian to get it working...Can someone help me with setting this up...??

If you are setting it to 750Mhz, then you are actually setting it way higher than normal. RAM on that card, in 2D mode or idle mode should only be about 250Mhz.

You've got me wrong...The problem is memory keeps jumping from 150 mhz to 1500mhz...where supposedly my card is not recieving enough voltage to support 1500 and black screens..So i am trying to limit the jump to 750 mhz instead of 1500 mhz...

Oh okay now I see what you are saying. That is strange. I would double check all programs running cause it shouldn't be jumping up like that.

As for limiting it, using Catalyst Control Center you can lock the clock speeds at anything you want, you can even lock them down to 300Mhz for the RAM and core if you want so you should try using that. Though I would just lock it in at what the specs say it should be.

It has been like that fromt he time i bought the gpu...I've had issues since i bought it...i just could not set a stable clock with ccc...when i go to my ccc profile settings under %appdata% my core and memory reads 0...
