Hello community,

I'm taking on my first build. This is going to be for gaming and everything else under that.
This is what I have figured in so far:
(Note: I have already purchased the mobo and psu...& I already know I should have went with a 600-650w psu but...knock on wood)
PCPartPicker part list:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($114.00 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($71.10 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($394.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Rosewill Challenger-U3 ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: XFX TS 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $840.03

Any opinions or suggestions? Trying to keep my budget as tight as possible...ty

Looks good. The only thing I would change is getting the 2gb vram version of the GTX 770. You don't really need the 4gb vram of the 770. That can save you almost $100 which can bring you to up the processor to a FX-8320.

Actually I'm building it to run an amd 6 or 8 core cpu for gaming(OP). The components were suggested to me from another builder the 6300. The only things I tweaked were the memory, the case and the psu. I've already purchased the mobo & psu(OP). I haven't decided on an fx-6300 or 8320. I might even just say the hell with it and get the 8350. Hence the purpose of the OP. ;-)
