I don't know how it is done but one of my friends has set up a program that is open in command line that when connected to a guest wifi netowrk that you need a password to connects to his home internet and voila he has internet anywhere I was curious if anyone knew how to do it I have asked and he has a friend who wrote the program that I have never met.

From how you have explained it, he is most likely just getting onto the unsecured guest network and launching a VPN (virtual private network) program and has his home router set up for VPN connection.

This is what all larger businesses use in order for their employees to telecommute and access company resources from home or from their hotel room on travel.
