I would go with the Fatal1ty. Has more to offer than the Vanguard. That said, you are probably not going to make use of some of those extra features. But the options are available should you need it.
Both good boards. Asus seams to be more durable while ASRock has some better audio. Your choice should be based on looks and features as both boards have all the basics covered. You should be fine with any in terms of stability and performance, its more of a personal choice.
What case is it going into? One is a Micro ATX and the other is an ATX. I don't like either one but if I had to choose and the case can fit both, then I'd go with the Fatal1ty.
One is micro-ATX & the other is ATX.. ATX will offer more expansion slots, but that ASROCK board doesn't have many good reviews on Newegg, and the Asus board is micro-atx..meaning too small unless it's for a m-atx case.
