Hello,

I have just started a project to make my own PC. FUN! :)

It has taken be a long time to find the parts that fitted my budget and expectations i hope!

I am very nervous about buying the stuff, what if the parts don't fit together or is a bad choice?

I was hoping that someone help and confirm that it all fits together.

Feel free to come with ideas to updates as well, I am looking for a decent gaming PC in that budget the current build is in.

Build:
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 (3.60GHz / 8MB)
GPU: Asus GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 - 2GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Dual Channel DDR3-1600 8GB (2x4GB)
PSU: Corsair CX600M - 600W
Case: Corsair Graphite Series 230T
SSD: Samsung SSD 840 Pro Series 128GB
Harddisk: Western Digital Black - 3.5" - SATA 6Gbps - 1TB (B)

Does it fit together? Is there better parts for the same price? Do I miss something?

TIA !

It is a good one
But you can save money by purchasing a WD 1TB Caviar Blue insteade of Black it offers only 10-15% better functionality than the Blue, but costs almost double.
Also, what are you going to use this rig for?

What is your budget? I would drop this mobo, get a decent one and invest more in GPU. Also mobo is Z series while the CPU is not K series. So either select CPU which is factory unlocked or selece mobo in H series.

Drop CX series PSU. Better get TX/HX series from corsair or get Seasonic/XFX series.

WD Black is good choice.

You can do that with an i5-4670k if u wish to OC or i5 4670 if u dont
There is negligible performance difference between the i5 and i7 in gaming.
Only some games are able to juice out the whole potential of an i7.
And even those games can run smoothly on ani5 too.
You can thus save a lot of mone and invest in the GPU rather.

Well hey hes got the money and hell if hes gonna get the new z97 boards he might as well get the new devils canyon. but might i suggest the i5 4690k devils canyon. its got great oc potential. also go with something like an r9 290 but with non-reference cooler. its just as fast as r9 290x when its oced and its cheaper and runs a bit cooler and consumes less energy. Good gpu

Ty for all the replies, BIG HELP !

I have changed my build to:

MoBo: Asrock Z97 Extreme4
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K (3.40GHz / 6MB) Fanless
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i
GPU: Asus Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC - 4GB
RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3-1866 8GB (Kit 2x4GB) CL9
Harddisk: Western Digital Caviar Blue - SATA 6Gb/s - 1TB/64MB - 7200rpm
SSD: Samsung SSD 840 Evo Series 120GB
Case: Corsair Graphite Series 230T - Seitenfenster - schwarz
PSU: XFX 650W 80+ GOLD CERTIFIED

Some questions!
1. will these ram do?
2. will it fit into the case (with the case i have chosen and the cooler, there is two spots for the cooler at the top so should be okey?)
3. will all the parts play together?

I like this build, a little more expensive than my initial due to the case ans cooler mostly but that is okey. I like those :).

Moved away from the water cooling and went with noctua nh-d14.

Final Build:
MoBo: Asrock Z97 Extreme4
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K (3.40GHz / 6MB) Fanless
CPU Cooler: noctua nh-d14
GPU: Asus Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC - 4GB
RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3-1866 8GB (Kit 2x4GB) CL9
Harddisk: Western Digital Caviar Blue - SATA 6Gb/s - 1TB/64MB - 7200rpm
SSD: Samsung SSD 840 Evo Series 120GB
Case: Corsair Graphite Series 230T - Seitenfenster - schwarz
PSU: XFX 650W 80+ GOLD CERTIFIED

Thx to everyone for helping!

Great choice but why D14? Why not D15. I've a very good experience with NH-U14S. Reason I did not opt for NH-D14 was that I'm using 4x8GB RAM (Corsair Dominator Platinum) and could not compromise on the looks of these rams :) as D14 is huge in size it could not be fitted well with all these rams having their heat spreader intact.

I went with the D14 since it was much cheaper to buy than the D15 and I was already over my budget when picking the cooler :) Otherwise D15 would have been my choice.

It's not even a good overclocker xD.

212 EVO is crap for Haswell too.
