Hey there, just finished my first pc build which I will be using for everyday tasks and some gaming (ESO, Crysis 2-3, Bioshock Infinite etc). Don't really care if I can't play onthe highest graphic settings. I just wanted to check with you guys what you think and where future upgrades shall be placed!

Cpu: Intel i5 4670k
Mobo: msi z87 g45
Gpu: msi geforce gtx 660 gaming edition
Psu: corsair cx 500w 80+ bronze
Hdd: western digital green 1 tb
Ssd: samsung 120 gb evo
ram: 8 gb crucial ballistix
optical drive: lite on dvd/cd, nothing fancy
Wifi: just a regular 30 $ card, asus I believe, never paid too much attention to this lol
Case: nzxt guardian red

There we go!

More about : good decent build 800 900

Hey, unfortunately the ram is unavailable from the sites i've visited (I live in Sweden..). Those mobo's seem interesting, probably worth being updated on. Checked my pci network card, it was dual band and so was my router.
Now for the psu, a topic i've checking up on these last couple of days.. The pc runs fine with the one I have, tried gaming, movies, internet and other stuff not out of the ordinary and eveything runs smoothly leading me to believe that thr psu deals out a sufficient amount of power to the components. So is it a good enough psu to support my system or should I buy a new one asap? Dont wanna destroy my build because of a poor psu, like burning the components etc.

thank you!

Everything on your build is good except I have 2 things to consider.
1.) instead of the GPU you have in your build, get the 'Radeon R9 270' because it is better and around the same price.
2.) Your build will need quite a lot of power and some reserve power just incase. Get a 550w or 600w Psu instead of your mentioned 500w one.

OK I thought you were PLANNING to make the build. The CX is OK but I wouldn't buy one.

If you've already got those parts then just use them for the next 2 years then decide what to get.

Yeah its already done and after a few days I realisied that maybe a better psu would be more beneficial. Was thinking about returning my currrent one and buying a new one but dont think its a possibility now considering that its already installed.. but youguys believe it can last a couple of years without damaging any hardware or being insufficient for current build?
Thanks for quick answer!
