I have been doing exams for the past month (and playing games when I should've been revising) and i finially finished yesterday. However when in a fairly non-taxing part of WoW, my entire rig crashed. Upon reboot of my computer, there would be a black screen with a cursor, and sometimes the Nvidia tooltip "Drivers recovered successfully" etc box would appear, then it would BSOD.

Due to the fact this made my desktop inaccessible of any repair, I just did a clean install since i keep the bulk of my files off my SSD. It is important to note that the card does give SOME video output as I can see this during boot.

Upon reinstall i created a restore point and proceeded to reinstall everything i needed to play WoW since i was desperate to raid now i have the time. When I installed the drivers, the system would fail when restarted. I restored again and tried various drivers and only installing the core aspect of the driver. Every time the same thing.

Anyone got any advice? I am stuck and may just return it since its less than a year old

If you've done a fresh install and the problem persists then I'm almost certain it's a hardware fault with the graphics card. Since it's under guarantee then you're best bet is to get it swapped asap.

Do you have access to another machine you could test it in? That would allow you to determine if it is definitely the card that is causing the problem, or something else in you're system.

If the card is faulty it's unlikely you will be able to do much to fix it (unless it's something basic like a broken fan) and if you attempt to fix it they're unlikely to accept it as a return.
