lost data off usb after configuring for xbox use

Ok, so I was helping my son to download maps on to the xbox 360. I used my memory stick and configured for use with the 360. At this stage I honestly did not see it say that my data would be erased/

I then loaded in to the laptop and noticed that all my files are gone. However, the memory stick is still showing as full (about 6g). Do you think there is anyway that I can get these files back.

Any help if greatly appreciated. I feel really frustrated as I had so much stuff on the drive. Many thanks

Last time I have configured an XBox with USB key, I was warned that all the data will be destroyed (I used the disk to backup some game states). Out of curiosity, I Plugged that USB disk back into a PC - it had totally strange partition layout.

Depending on how large these maps were relating to disk size, you are out of luck.

Thanks for all your help. I have tried several data recovery tools but I have now admitted defeat as none of them work. Annoyed but glad that I gave it a go. Thanks again
