Rumour has it that GTX 8xx will be a more efficient version of the GTX 7xx however not a huge performance gain, The big Tech jump will come in GTX 9xx , Much like GTX 680 > Titan was a big jump. But we wont know until they are released... Unless someone has a spare flux capacitor? And we could have a peak into the future Hehe

No id say those arent real,if so..Nvidia REALLY decided to cut power this generation. Lets compare some hard numbers between the GTX 770 and the "GTX 870"

Again,this is speculation.

The memory bandwidth is just barely higher thanks to the 320bit Bus, 240gb/s compared to the 770's 224gb/s

Far fewer Shader units, 1152 vs 1536
Less Texture mapping units, 72 vs 128 resulting in 67gigatextel/s vs 133gigatexel/s
Same amount of Render Output Units,32, but a smaller Pixel Fill Rate at 29.8Gpixel/s vs 33.5Gpixel/s

Seems weird.

P.S; As long as we're speculating,ive heard rumors about the GTX 980,slated to come out Dec 2015,will have DX12 support.

From what Ive been reading, Nvidia intends to make DX12 backwards compatible with current GTX offerings, Apparantly they learnt from the mistakes of the past (DX10). Heres hoping its not more B/S. :)

Yeah, that much of a drop in units doesn't make sense. But the power consumption I don't doubt... look at the GTX 750 Ti, almost as good as an HD 7850 but only a 60W TDP. Just imagine what they could squeeze out of a 200W card o__o
