I'm selling my Phenom 955BE 3.20GHZ, GB Ma-770T-UD3 rev1.0 and 4gbs of corsair xms3 for 125$ and I'm able to get from my local "ebay" here in romania an i5 4670k, an ASUS H87M-pro and 4gigs of ram for 370$ or with 8gigs for around 400$. Is this a good upgrade for the next 4 years? My gpu is currently an 7850 2GB and I plan to change it with an r9 290 in 2015. And also is the price good?

Solution
Hi artanix
As far as the CPU is concerned; your choice is great. Since Intel i5-4670k 3.4Ghz comes with UNLOCKED multiplier, you can benefit from it. Go for a Z87 board instead of H87. ASUS and GIGABYTE make quality motherboards. You can go for ASUS Z87-PRO or GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-OC. Don't forget to buy a good CPU cooler.
Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO or 212X is a nice option. And what is your PSU? You need at least 750W to handle you future upgrades. Seasonic X 750W Gold or Corsair 750TX v2 are worth considerations. They are well built and Haswell certified too. Try to add a good SSD to your list; at least 120GB.

and mATX mobo will have less PCIE slots than a ATX board. I suggest you to get a ATX board if youre not using a small case

Most mATX boards have pretty basic power. But if you look you can find a good quality mATX board that will still OC that 4670k pretty well.

Also consider, the new 4900 series intel CPUs are out, same price, faster stock clock speed, and better TIM on the IHS. I would go that route for your CPU.

I've looked a little and found something pretty interesting. I found a Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5 for 110$, an i5 4570 for 140$ and 8gigs of XMS3 or HyperX for 60$.
So, for a total of 310$ I get a cpu that's non K but i'm not veeery interested in OC ( maybe just a little or I can just sell the cpu in 3-4 years if something amazing comes then and increases fps in gaming for at least 20-30 fps)
And the mobo as I see on the site supports DDL and DTS, which for me would be very great since I have a great 5.1 ddl/dts home cinema and the only reason I still play on Xbox 360 is for the amazing 5.1 sound.
So is the second kit more good on the performance per usd scale?
