Currently looking at http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
But is it overkill? Does it even work with my build?

The build:
Case http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
MOBO http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
PSU http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
RAM http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...
CPU http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

I need it for graphics editing, dual monitors, watching 10bit 1080p video. Wouldn't mind some future proofing on the video part but from what I can tell it's already kind of overkill for my needs.

The MSI R9 280 3GB may be brought down to the insane $200 mark again soon on newegg, I'd look out for that, and if it does, defiantly go for it, easily your absolute best choice.

If not, then this R9 280 appears to be quite good for the price according to users, $199.99 after rebate;

Alright, went through with the R9 270. (280 was $290 in Canada anyways, unfortunately). Thanks for the help.

Works too, just OC it a little bit more from the factory overclock and you pretty much get a R9 270X. :)

the R9 280 I listed is "Better! Stronger! Faster!" then any R9 270X.
