Hi, I got my new pc today and just set all up.I change my resolution and such, but the screen does not seem HD? It doesn't even take up the whole tv? It is connected to a graphics card with a HDMI cord to a tv as I do not have a dvi monitor or a conveter yet?

Can anyone help me with this situation?

Go into nvidia control panel or amd control panel and set the resolution to 1920X1200. Cheaper HD tvs do not look good to more main brand ones. I like samsung, LG, and sony a lot. Vizio is almost there I think...

Go into your tv settings select pc for faster refresh, and adjust until the screen looks right, it could be it needs to have the aspect ratio changed, width, zoom etc.

What is better 1080i or 1080p. Plus shouldn't I install the gpu drivers?

You should update the drivers, yes 1080p is better... you should be able to select 1920x1200 in the control panel though. Do those things I listed and your problem should be g2g.

Nothing really change. It is still not HD. Even my old pc ran this tv in HD? Is there anything else I can change or to buy a monitor.

Yeah keep messing around with the settings until it looks the way you want, no you don't need to buy anything else. Just keep on adjusting until its what you like bud, plain and simple.

I am in my gpu driver control panel thing. Would I change the quality under video?

Just adjust like I listed above. I don't know if you are using ATI or Nvidia and I can't see your screen. You are going to have to figure this one out for yourself, this could be a great time to learn.

Your comment about 'it doesn't take up the whole tv' makes me think you have an AMD card. If I'm right, you need to adjust the scaling options in the catalyst control centre.
