looks fine though you're missing the ssd
Do you have to have a ssd?
yep.
Samsung 840 evo - 128gb
Listen, I work with computers all day long. I work with more modern core i5s then you could shake a stick at. Will an SSD help you game? not really. It will help load times, but that's about it. But in every other aspect of using your pc it will help tremendously.
You know it actually breaks my heart how many times i'll be setting up a brand new core i5-4670k for a client, and to see how SLOW it is because they got a hard drive... i mean setting that pc up takes just as long as it did back in the P4 days. It boots windows 7 about as fast as a p4 did. It does day to day tasks about as fast as a p4 does. Really, without the corei sticker on it, there would be no way for a user to know his new pc was any faster then the old core2duo he was replacing.
Simply put, cpus became too fast for the hard drive to keep up way back around the time of the first gen core2 cpus coming out. without an SSD, there is no user experience difference or improvement with about 8 years of progress. I have a pastor who's never used a SSD, he used to be huge into computers and overclocking them. He now buys the cheapest pc he can find, doesn't care what it is, because "there is no difference in them today from 10 years ago". Seriously, blows my mind, but that's basically the truth if you don't game and don't have an SSD.
As i said, i have an SSD in my pc, in every measurable way it will be a worse computer then the one you're building... it's an fx8320 with a hd7700 gpu... yet if you sat your new pc next to mine, you'd think i had the greatest machine ever made. I know from a tech standpoint who works on these things all day long, all those corei computers i play with on a daily basis... not once have made me "wish" i had a "superior" intel. Though those cpus are almost 50% faster per core then mine is, the user experience on my system is so much better, i don't want one of those hard drive bottlenecked intels.
(note: if i were to make a new system and money wasn't a consideration, i would certainly make it with an intel, but i would certainly put an ssd into it)
